Community Charitable Service Center, would like to thank everybody that participated in our fund raising which we called $10,000.00 Christmas shopping spree/Holiday shopping spree/shopping spree. As you may know, this fund raising has been going on for nearly one year now. We extended the drawing date many times to allow us to reach our goal of raising $100,000.00 but we did not come close to that goal.
For the entire period we conducted the fund raising, 170 raffle tickets were sold which amounted to $1,700.00. In reference to the rules of the raffle, 500 tickets must be sold by 5pm, Thursday August 30, 2007, for the grand price winner to win $10,000 of gift card. If fewer than 200 tickets are sold by 5pm Thursday, August 30, 2007, the raffle will be held as scheduled, and the prizes will be awarded as advertised with the exception that the grand prize winner will receive a sum equal to 50% of the net raffle proceeds and the first to Third prize winners will receive 20% of the advertised gift card value. For these purposes, net proceeds are defined as the balance of funds left after paying all other prizes; all raffle expenses and all expenses for the House.

After accounting for all the expenses for conducting this raffle, we ended up with a loss instead of a gain. As a result, we will not be able to conduct the raffle as planed. The breakdown of the revenue and expenses will be posted on our website at a later date. Thank you very much.
